However, after witnessing the tremors created by the film’s trailer, Rs 45 Cr doesn’t seem too an unreasonable price to pay to make his biopic. But, the shocking part of the story is that actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who played Dhoni’s role in the biopic, is heard to have been paid a paltry Rs 2 Cr. This pay of Sushant would look utterly discriminatory after learning that Dhoni’s business manager was paid Rs 5 crore for just overseeing the negotiations.
Considering the amount of hardwork Sushant put in to become Dhoni, the money he agreed to act in the film looks highly unreasonable. Sushant trained with prominent cricketer Kiran More for over than a year to master Dhoni’s batting style. He also suffered fractures trying to get a grip on Dhoni’s eponymous helicopter shot.
After watching the trailer, everyone applauded the effort of Sushant. Even Dhoni confessed that the young actor put in lot of effort to imitate his body language. It is heard that makers have promised to share the profits of the film with Sushant to acknowledge his efforts.
‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ is scheduled to hit screens on September 30.
