After making that magical shift from playing lead roles to villain and character roles, there has been no looking back for Jagapathi Babu who is ruling the roost in several high budget movies in all the four major film industries down South.
It is no exaggeration to say that Jaggu Bhai’s popularity rose multifold after accepting special roles than being a hero. This macho actor’s presence will be strongly felt during the housing Dasara season, where he has as many as five movies hitting the screens in one month.
Jagapathi Babu is playing key roles in Gopichand’s Oxygen, Kalyanram-Puri’s ISM, former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumar’s debut film Jaguar, his debut Malayalam movie Pulimurugan with Mohanlal and Tamil star Vishal’s Kaththi Sandai.
Of these, Jagapathi Babu’s negative role in Pulimurugan, Mohanlal’s career’s highest budget movie, and Jaguar, one of the costliest south Indian hero debut movie, are keenly anticipated. Apart from these, Jaggu Bhai is also playing the main villain’s role in Vijay’s most awaited 60th project, Bairavaa.
